TOKYO June 1, 2010

TOKYO—June 1, 2010—NetSTAR, Inc., Japan’s premier developer of URL filtering product technologies and services, today announced the availability of the free Workplace Internet Use Checkup service for businesses from June to the end of August.

Understanding Internet usage trends in the workplace requires the analysis of a tremendous volume of data, and the burden of this task is such that many just put it off. More and more corporations that are already using URL filtering products and services have also been asking for third-party verification of these trends to be able to get more out of their existing service. To answer these needs, NetSTAR is offering the Workplace Internet Use Checkup, which provides risk analysis and usage trend analysis of a company’s Web logs. The analysis is performed by NetSTAR’s expert staff and is available to any company for the asking, whether the company is currently using URL filtering products and services or not.

The service uses NetSTAR’s proprietary automated categorization system, NetSTAR URL Categorizer, and it will separate the sites accessed by employees into more than 100 categories.
The results of analysis are put into a report for use by managers and executives.
