TOKYO July 23, 2009

TOKYO—July 23, 2009—NetSTAR, Inc., Japan’s premier developer of URL filtering product technologies and services, today announced that there will be a presentation at the 2009 Summer Faculty Training Seminar conducted by the Mukogawa Women’s University Junior & Senior High School in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, on August 1, 2009.

Mukogawa Women’s University is one of a small handful of women’s learning institutions nationwide that offers a kindergarten, junior high school, high school, junior college, university, non-degree graduate programs, and graduate school. The school regularly holds training seminars for its teaching staff in order to improve their pedagogical skills. Because of the increasing incidents of problems involving Internet use by junior and senior high-school students in society, this year’s summer program is focusing on Internet crime and how it relates to junior and senior high-school students.

NetSTAR believes that each individual must understand about filtering and how it is used as well as the risks involved with Internet use, and so we continue to distribute information through presentations and our website dedicated to this topic. NetSTAR was invited to speak at this seminar and talk about filtering as well as to discuss in detail the types of problems that occur with young people using the Internet, as well as specific ways to protect them.

NetSTAR will continue to collaborate with municipal governments and NPOs in an effort to provide the global community with safe Internet access across a wide variety of platforms.
